We were delighted to welcome a group of gentlemen from the Retired Chartered Engineers’ Club in Exeter to Ashwoods’ head office last week.
We showed them around our manufacturing facilities and introduced them to our range of permanent magnet motors. Iain Gillam, Project Engineer, took them on a tour of the buildings and told them all about Ashwoods’ history and our aspirations.
Iain commented on the visit:
“The stories they all shared from their multi-disciplined engineering careers were very interesting and demonstrated the wealth of engineering knowledge and heritage present in the Southwest”
The engineers have retired from a range of fields and have been visiting many local engineering facilities over the past year or so, all with differing specialities.
Graham Tombs, who helps run the Retired Chartered Engineers’ Club in Exeter commented:
“We were very impressed by the integrated control unit, axial flux motor and drive train combination, very neat!”
“We look forward to hearing continued success of your organisation and trust all will go well with the transition to your new factory which we would be very interested to visit once you are established there.”
